CEE engineering fields

We work across electricity, heat, water supply and wastewater systems. We start with the site’s needs and evidence, compare options and set priorities before selecting equipment.

Electricity supply

Metering, power quality and reliability, load management and the case for on-site generation or backup.

Tasks we assess

  • Consumption profiles, peak demand, losses and operating patterns.
  • Critical loads, acceptable interruptions and backup scenarios.
  • Comparison of operational measures, solar PV, BESS and other technical options.

Inputs for assessment

Meter readings and bills, load profiles, network diagrams, connection conditions and a list of critical equipment.

Preparation outputs

Prioritised measures, cost and benefit scenarios, requirements for the next stage and a verification plan based on metering.

Heat supply

Heat sources, distribution, control and the heating requirements of buildings and industrial processes.

Tasks we assess

  • Heat and fuel metering, temperature regimes and losses.
  • Assessment of boiler houses, heat substations, pumps and networks.
  • Comparison of controls, upgrades, heat recovery and heat-pump feasibility.

Inputs for assessment

Heat and fuel consumption, temperatures, operating schedules, building and equipment characteristics and available energy sources.

Preparation outputs

A heat balance and constraints, option comparisons, an upgrade concept and verification indicators adjusted for weather and operating conditions.

Water supply

Reliable water delivery, metering, pressure, losses and the energy use of pumping equipment.

Tasks we assess

  • Water balances, leaks and variable demand.
  • Pump operation, backup and pressure control.
  • Water-treatment needs and quality requirements, including necessary investigations.

Inputs for assessment

Supply and consumption volumes, pressures, network diagrams, pump characteristics, existing analyses and user requirements.

Preparation outputs

A survey and measurement plan, priorities for reducing losses and improving reliability, and requirements for the technical solution.

Wastewater systems

Collection, conveyance, pumping stations and preparation of treatment options suited to the site.

Tasks we assess

  • Effluent volumes and composition, variable inflows and network condition.
  • Wastewater pumping station operation, backup and energy use.
  • Treatment constraints, sludge management and required approvals.

Inputs for assessment

Flow measurements and effluent analyses, network and facility diagrams, operating logs, incidents and applicable acceptance or discharge requirements.

Preparation outputs

Required investigations, technology options and risks, upgrade phasing and requirements for subsequent design.

From needs to verified results

  1. Needs

Define the task, critical risks and the client’s expectations.

  2. Metering and analysis

Collect evidence, check its quality and establish a baseline.

  3. Priorities

Compare safety, reliability, cost and potential benefits.

  4. Solutions

Prepare a concept, specification and implementation plan for the agreed option.

  5. Verification

Compare measured performance with the baseline and agreed criteria.

The scope, responsible specialists, required approvals and acceptance criteria are defined for each site. A preliminary assessment does not replace detailed design or mandatory procedures.
